Does God Really Care About Your Emotions? (Spoiler: Yes—Deeply)

If you’re like me, no one really taught you how to deal with emotions. Maybe you grew up pushing through sadness, ignoring frustration, or slapping a Bible verse on anxiety and calling it a day. But what if emotions aren’t obstacles to fix… but invitations from God to grow?

Step 1: Acknowledge & Allow Yourself to Feel

Many of us were taught to shove emotions down like an overstuffed suitcase. But the truth? What we ignore doesn’t disappear—it just waits for the right (usually inconvenient) moment to pop back up. (Crying in a parking lot anyone?!)

Instead of resisting, try this:
1️. Take a deep breath.
2. Say, “This is what I’m feeling right now, and that’s okay.”
3️. Notice what happens. (Spoiler: The world doesn’t end!)

God designed us to feel deeply—David wept, Jesus grieved, and Miriam told people to call her ‘bitter’. If He makes space for emotions, why shouldn’t we?

So, this week, let’s stop stuffing feelings like we’re packing for a month-long trip in a carry-on. Pray through them. Sit with them. Invite God into the moment.

You don’t have to do this alone. If you’re ready to embrace your emotions with faith and confidence, let’s chat.

Reply to this post or book a free call—I’d love to hear what resonates with you.

Next week, we’ll take another step forward. Until then, take a deep breath—you’ve got this.
